3D Personnel are working with a growing multi-disciplined M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Regional AC Manager to establish, develop and lead a new Air Conditioning and Heat Pump division. This is a senior appointment with responsibility for building the division, developing its client base, delivering projects and creating a specialist Air Conditioning, HVAC and Air Source Heat Pump capability within the wider M&E business. Supported by an established M&E operation and a leading construction contractor, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and grow a specialist division covering installation, projects, service and maintenance.
The Role
- Developing and managing the company's Air Conditioning and Heat Pump offering, including:
- Establishing and growing a specialist Air Conditioning, HVAC and ASHP division
- Developing new business through your existing industry and client network
- Identifying opportunities across the company's existing construction and M&E client base
- Securing AC, HVAC and heat pump installation, replacement and maintenance projects
- Developing the company's Air Source Heat Pump offering as demand for low-carbon heating solutions continues to grow
- Managing projects from initial enquiry and design coordination through to installation, commissioning and handover
- Overseeing service, maintenance and planned preventative maintenance contracts
- Building and managing a team of engineers, supervisors, project managers and subcontractors
- Developing relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and specialist subcontractors
- Preparing estimates, tenders, proposals and commercial submissions
- Attending client meetings, surveys and tender presentations
- Supporting system selection, design development and technical proposals
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the required technical standards
- Developing long-term client relationships and generating repeat business
- Working closely with the wider M&E and construction teams to provide an integrated Design, Build and Maintain service
The Person
- We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning, HVAC or Building Services professional with strong technical and commercial knowledge.
- You will ideally have:
- Extensive experience within the Air Conditioning or HVAC sector
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial air conditioning systems
- Experience with VRV/VRF, split, multi-split and associated HVAC systems
- Knowledge and experience of Air Source Heat Pumps
- Experience delivering installation, refurbishment and maintenance projects
- Previous experience managing engineers, supervisors or project teams
- Strong commercial awareness including estimating, tendering and project financial management
- Experience developing new client relationships and securing new business
- An established network within the AC, HVAC, M&E, construction or property sectors
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- The ambition and entrepreneurial approach required to establish and grow a new division
- Relevant technical qualifications and industry accreditations would be advantageous, although the emphasis for this appointment will be on experience, leadership, commercial ability and industry knowledge.
