Finance Manager in Southampton

Finance Manager / Finance & Payroll Manager 3D Personnel is an established and growing recruitment business specialising in the Construction, Civil Engineering, M&E and Infrastructure sectors across the UK and Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Finance All-Rounder to join our team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our recruitment business. This is a varied, hands-on position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of their responsibilities and working closely with senior management. The Role Reporting to the Finance Director and Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, with a particular focus on weekly payroll, management reporting and financial administration. Key responsibilities include: * Managing weekly payroll for our temporary and contract workforce, including timesheets, starters, leavers and deductions * Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports * Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, invoicing and credit control * Managing bank reconciliations and supporting cash flow reporting * Supporting VAT returns, year-end accounts and compliance * Maintaining accurate financial records and accounting systems * Supporting wider business administration and HR-related tasks * Working closely with our recruitment consultants and management team to ensure smooth financial operations About You We are looking for someone who has: * Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Finance Officer or similar all-round finance role * Experience managing weekly payroll, ideally within recruitment, staffing or another temporary labour business * Strong knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting * Good Excel skills and experience with accounting software * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work independently * AAT qualifications or progress towards ACCA/CIMA would be advantageous but not essential What We Offer * The opportunity to join an established and growing recruitment business * A varied role with genuine responsibility and autonomy * A supportive, friendly and professional working environment * The opportunity to work closely with senior management and influence business processes * Competitive salary and benefits package If you are an experienced finance professional looking for a varied role within a busy and successful recruitment business, we would welcome your application
