Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centre Project | Blyth, Northumberland

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading data centre delivery team on a major new data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a key role overseeing mechanical installations on a mission-critical facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical installation works including HVAC, cooling and piping systems
- Oversee mechanical subcontractors for quality, safety and programme
- Review drawings, technical submittals and method statements
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA and commissioning teams
- Support commissioning and handover of mechanical systems
- Mentor and support junior mechanical engineers
- Report progress and resolve technical issues on site
Skills & Qualifications
- Data centre experience essential
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Several years' experience as a mechanical engineer with a main or M&E contractor
- Strong knowledge of data centre cooling, HVAC and piping systems
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent site safety training
