THE ROLE
- Project leadership with real autonomy
- As Chartered Structural Engineer, you will take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects - leading from design through to completion.
- You will manage graduate engineers and technicians, serve as the primary client contact, and collaborate with contractors and multi-disciplinary consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes on time and within budget.
- Structural design calculations & drawings
- Project team coordination & resource management
- Client & consultant relationship management
- Site inspections & quality assurance
- Risk identification & mitigation
- Fee forecasting & project invoicing
- Mentoring graduates & junior engineers
- Business development contribution
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Chartered Structural Engineer status
- BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum five years' post‑graduate experience in a similar environment
- Proven design experience across all common building materials to current codes
- Competent structural assessment of existing buildings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Full current driving licence (or equivalent access to transport)
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience at an engineering‑based consultancy
- Experience using Masterseries software
