Job Description

Groundworker required to carry out finishings on site including kerbing, edging and topsoiling.

  • Other duties could include
  • Digging trenches and excavation
  • Using shovels and other hand tools
  • Clearing the site by removing the topsoil or anything that can affect the construction process
  • Landscaping the site
  • Clearing the construction site of vegetation or carrying out any other site clearance
  • Removing old drainage or other pipework systems
  • Leading any necessary demolition required to enable site work
  • Preparing the ground for the building team to lay the foundations
  • Setting up the construction site
  • Digging trenches and laying concrete
  • Laying pavement, driveways and kerbs
  • Using shovels and other hand tools

Requirements and experience levels

  • Must be hard working and driven
  • Valid ID/Passport
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, hi-vis and safety boots)
  • CSCS Card;

Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams on busy construction sites.
