We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Traffic Marshall to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact on-site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel. Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control vehicle movements within the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in the safe parking and unparking of construction vehicles such as dump trucks, front loader trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, contractors, and team members to coordinate vehicle entry and exit.
  • Monitor site access points, verify credentials, and ensure only authorised personnel enter restricted areas.
  • Support the safe operation of heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other construction equipment when required.
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle movements and site access activities.
  • Enforce safety regulations and site rules to prevent accidents or unauthorized access.

Experience:

  • Prior experience working on construction sites or in traffic management roles is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or similar machinery is a plus.
  • Knowledge of utility locating and basic construction safety procedures is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with construction vehicles like dump trucks or front loader trucks enhances your suitability for this role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain alert in fast-paced environments are essential.
  • Certification or training related to traffic control or construction safety (such as OSHA) is beneficial but not mandatory.
