3D Personnel are currently looking for a Contracts Manager in Totton, Hampshire for a Civil Engineering project.
We're currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing Energy Division, supporting a strong pipeline of critical infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a senior delivery-focused role overseeing a portfolio of major civil engineering schemes, predominantly within substation and/or compressor station environments. The position will be based out of the Southampton Head Office, with weekly site visits. A typical week will consist of 2 days in the office, 2 days on site and 1 day working from home.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Framework Manager, overseeing up to 3 projects at any one time
- Working closely with the Head of SHEQ to ensure the highest safety standards, environmental compliance and quality performance
- Managing and supporting Project Managers, providing guidance to ensure delivery excellence
- Providing strong commercial and programme support across all projects
- Working with the Bid team and leading tender activity for projects within the Energy Division
- Driving innovation and ensuring compliance across all contracts
- Collaborating closely with commercial, design, planning and site delivery teams
- Acting as key client interface, attending regular meetings and reporting on design and project completion timelines
- Producing effective monthly reporting to the Framework Manager
Requirements
- BEng / HND in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Contracts Manager role
- Working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
- Proven track record delivering large-scale civil engineering projects
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites nationwide
- Substation project experience
Desirable Skills / Qualifications
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
