Key Account Manager required for a Co. Donegal based business within easy reach of Letterkenny. This business is a long-established producer of private label and branded products who also co-pack for several well-known global (and local) brands for customers across the UK and EU. As they continue to grow, they are expanding their Commercial team and are looking for a driven Key Account Manager to help build and strengthen customer relationships across the UK and Ireland.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FMCG sales professional to play a key role in developing and managing major accounts across Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale channels in GB & ROI. You will work closely with teams across the business including purchasing, planning, finance, production, quality and logistics to gain a full understanding of operations and ensure delivery of exceptional service to customers. The role involves building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth and identifying new opportunities in the market. Occasional travel across the UK and Ireland will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key customer relationships across Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale sectors in GB & ROI;
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs;
- Develop strong, long-term partnerships with customers to retain and grow business;
- Handle customer queries and ensure timely resolution of issues;
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met;
- Understand and monitor customer demand and sales requirements;
- Contribute to monthly sales meetings and raise any customer-related issues;
- Support pricing, contract renewals and new client onboarding;
- Gather and communicate customer feedback on products, service and delivery;
- Represent at industry trade shows and events;
- Participate in market research and new product development initiatives;
- Monitor competitor activity and identify new market opportunities.
About You
- Essential Previous Key Account Management experience within FMCG;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills;
- Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building abilities;
- Results-driven with strong numerical and analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and online meeting tools;
- Full UK/Irish driving licence;
- Willingness to travel occasionally across GB & ROI.
- Desirable Experience working with Retail, Foodservice or Wholesale channels in GB & ROI;
- Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing or related field.
