A fast-growing main contractor, with a turnover now exceeding £150m, is seeking a driven and well-connected Business Development Manager to join its expanding team. Specialising in industrial, commercial, logistics and retail projects (valued between £5m–£30m), this contractor has built a strong reputation for quality delivery, client focus, and repeat business. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and helping secure the next wave of high-value projects. This is a pivotal role within the leadership team, offering scope to influence the company’s growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities * Identify and secure new business opportunities within industrial, logistics, retail and commercial construction sectors. * Build and nurture long-term relationships with developers, investors, consultants, and clients. * Track and research industry trends, competitors, and upcoming developments to position the company effectively. * Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that showcase capability and value. * Collaborate with estimating, pre-construction, and delivery teams to align bids with client requirements. * Represent the business at networking events, industry forums, and client meetings. * Report on pipeline development, conversion rates, and progress against business development targets.
