Want to design a wide variety of solutions ranging from SaaS platforms, internal tooling, marketing websites, e-commerce stores and diagnostic software? We are looking for a skilled, user-focused designer with strong knowledge of Figma to join our growing team at 3D Group.
UI UX Designer Nottingham (Hybrid 3 days office / 2 days home) Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Up to £45,000 per annum DoE. Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK.
You will be an integral part of the business, joining at a time where you'll have the opportunity to shape the design culture and practices, truly putting your mark on everything from scalable design systems to the finished product. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of products for several brands, including 3D Group, OSCA, and 3D Autokeys. We aim to create an ecosystem that feels connected, cohesive and modern.
Key Responsibilities- Design and prototype user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications using Figma.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and refine user journeys.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviours.
- Translate complex requirements into elegant, intuitive, and accessible design solutions.
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Design marketing websites and landing pages that are visually engaging and conversion optimised.
- Apply sound design principles, including hierarchy, contrast, consistency, and accessibility.
- Ask thoughtful, strategic questions to uncover user needs and business goals.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and evolving user needs.
- Proven experience designing for both software applications and marketing websites.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of UX research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Ability to balance creativity with usability and business objectives.
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards, and design systems.
- Excellent communication skills able to present and justify design decisions clearly.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Awareness of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and tools like Hotjar or Google Analytics to support collaboration with developers and inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with SEO and CRO to support data-driven design decisions.
- Advanced Figma skills including scalable design systems, interactive prototypes, and collaboration features.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), atomic design principles, and inclusive design practices.
- Ability to organise intuitive user flows, create personas and journey maps, and present design concepts aligned with business goals.
- A 37.5-hour work week with a hybrid working model (3 days in the Nottingham office, 2 days from home).
