As we expand our portfolio and enter new markets, we are seeking a results-oriented Engineering Technician to support our growth strategy and continuous development in Engineering and Servicing.
What we are looking for
An individual who is proactive and skilled in Engineering and customer-oriented work, to operate within our Beauty, Aesthetic, and Medical Device Engineering division. Responsible for managing and enhancing specific functions, fault finding, reporting and conducting repairs with continuous improvement within our Quality Management System (QMS). The role works to technical documentation, fault diagnostics and supports change management initiatives. It is pivotal in ensuring products meet regulatory standards while supporting continuous technical and process improvement. Administrative duties may be required, along with other duties as assigned. The role also initiates opportunities for continual improvement and interacts positively with other departments in the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolution of technical issues across the product lifecycle, including diagnostics and root cause analysis of returned or faulty devices.
- Lead investigations and implement corrective actions for product failures or customer complaints regarding device/component failure.
- Liaise with Engineering Management and R&D to improve product reliability and reduce recurring faults.
Quality & Compliance (QMS)
- Operate within the QMS in compliance with ISO 13485, MDR, GMP, and other applicable regulations.
- Accurately completing service reports and other QMS-related documentation in a timely manner.
Technical Documentation
- Develop and maintain essential technical documentation such as Work Instructions (WIs), Test Instructions and Validation Protocols, and Job Cards.
- Collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions, technical reviews, and quality improvements.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Production, Sales, and R&D teams to ensure quality and technical alignment and customer focus across the business.
- Meet KPIs and continually improve processes.
Product / Market Development
- Ensure documentation is correctly recorded, monitored and maintained.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical preferred) or related technical discipline. HNC, HND, or other qualifications also accepted.
- 5+ years in a technical or engineering role in medical or aesthetic device manufacturing with quality management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
