The Orchard are seeking a digital marketing and advertising strategist to join their UK team working across their Rock and Metal Music. The role is based in Kings Cross and the teams meet in the office between Monday-Thursday. Fridays are typically spent working remotely from home.

This role will be responsible for providing top tier marketing services to our label and artist client roster working across Rock/Alternative, Metal and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing strategic always-on digital marketing campaigns designed to generate publicity and awareness. They will be responsible for building audiences and running effective CRM strategies across their campaigns as well as engaging fanbases to drive sales and revenue for new releases and catalogue titles.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy and will have project direction from the Relationship Lead.

What you’ll do:

  • Label & Artist Communication: Serve as the marketing point of contact for assigned labels and artists, leading discussions around marketing strategies within the online space, campaign planning, data collection and CRM execution and ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Creativity: Conceptualize and execute creative marketing campaigns in order to remain at the forefront of marketing and audience development.
  • Strategic Oversight: Oversee and manage marketing campaigns for high-priority releases, with a focus on artist and label initiatives. Drive informed decisions based on data and performance metrics.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze the impact of campaigns and the value of various segments of fans & audiences identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize both pre- and post-release strategies.
  • Internal & External Partnerships: Seek out opportunities for artist and label development through internal resources and external tools or services that could enhance campaign efforts.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with local market teams globally to identify and utilize cultural touchpoints for audience acquisition, engagement and other label objectives.
  • Problem-Solving & Flexibility: Be proactive in identifying challenges and providing solutions to keep release campaigns on track.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 2 years in digital marketing within the music industry (Label, Distributor, DSP etc) or a similar field.
  • Proven track record of successful campaign development and execution.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of marketing music across Rock, Alternative, Metal and related genres within the United Kingdom.
  • You are passionate about the music business and have a desire to build a career in the industry.
  • Knowledge of booking digital advertisements across platforms including Meta, Google and TikTok Ads Manager preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms and the current platform trends and updates required.
  • An understanding of digital service provider platforms and how they can be used in digital marketing campaigns to elevate music consumption and discovery.
  • A strong proficiency in utilizing analytics tools to track and interpret release performance, trends, and metrics.
  • Basic Photoshop, HTML and video editing software experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to serve as a key liaison between artists, labels, internal teams, and external clients.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and project management software a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • A highly organized professional that pays close attention to the details with the ability to multitask and prioritize to tight deadlines.
