Our client, a forward-thinking environmental consultancy, have a new requirement for a Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), GIS and Data Specialist to join their growing team. The GIS and Environmental Data Consultant plays a key role in delivering innovative solutions that support sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and nature recovery. As the successful BNG, GIS & Data Specialist, you will: * Support the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments across a range of projects * Work with spatial data and GIS software (such as ArcGIS, QGIS) to produce high-quality maps and visualisations * Analyse ecological data, interpret habitat survey results, and manage complex datasets * Collaborate closely with ecologists, planners, and developers to integrate biodiversity outcomes into land management and planning * Help drive innovation in the use of remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and data management You can expect to join a thriving business, with exciting growth plans and genuine opportunity for career development as well as a friendly and supportive team. What We’re Looking For * A strong understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) policy and principles * Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data analysis * Experience with ecological surveys, habitat mapping, and biodiversity metrics * Solid data management and analysis skills * Excellent communication skills with colleagues * Self-motivated and proactive approach to work * A team player, offering support to colleagues to meet client expectations * Excellent time management and ability to deliver within a deadline
