Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Worcester. The Electrician will carry out electrical installations, routine and reactive maintenance, and repair work in commercial and industrial environments. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, performing safety and compliance testing, and supporting project delivery from installation through commissioning. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with project managers and other trades, and ensuring all work meets relevant regulations and company quality standards. The Electrician will also assist with upgrades to existing systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electricity principles and safe working practices with electrical systems.
- Practical experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and component replacement.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to commercial and industrial installations.
- Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) and valid industry certifications.
- Good knowledge of current electrical regulations and standards, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Capability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel locally within the service area as required.
