An established and growing building services delivery business is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to support an expanding portfolio of projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and forward-thinking team delivering technically challenging mechanical and electrical projects within the built environment. The business operates across public sector, commercial, and residential markets, delivering projects typically ranging from £25,000 to £1 million per site. The focus is on refurbishment, retrofit, and decarbonisation works, supporting clients in reducing operational carbon and improving building performance in line with long-term sustainability targets.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the full lifecycle delivery of mechanical and electrical works, from early feasibility and design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Projects are often delivered across multiple sites or phased programmes, requiring strong organisational capability and technical leadership. The role involves working in live and occupied environments, coordinating with clients, end users, contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery.

The Role
- Manage multiple M&E projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Develop and control programmes, budgets, and cost forecasts
- Procure and manage mechanical and electrical contractors and specialists
- Administer contracts including valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Coordinate design information and technical documentation
- Lead site and progress meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM, and health and safety legislation
- Monitor site quality, workmanship, and technical compliance
- Oversee commissioning, testing, snagging, and defects resolution
- Ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals and as-built information
- Produce concise progress, cost, and risk reports
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons-learned processes
Required Experience

- Proven experience delivering mechanical and electrical building services projects
- Experience managing M&E works or packages valued between £25k and £1m
- Background across public sector, commercial, or residential projects
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience working in live or occupied environments
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM, and health and safety
- Strong commercial awareness including cost control and variations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and contractors concurrently
- Full UK driving licence
