Job Description
An opportunity exists for an Mechanical Site Manager with a strong mechanical background to join a major commercial development in Oxford. This is a site based role overseeing the full Mechanical installation on a project valued over £50m. The position is suited to an experienced services manager capable of leading subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring high technical and quality standards.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Oversee mechanical works on site.\\n\\n * Manage MEP subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to specification, within programme, and to required quality levels\\n\\n * Review designs, highlight issues, and work collaboratively with consultants and the project team to resolve technical queries\\n\\n * Monitor progress, report against programme, and assist in the planning of upcoming works\\n\\n * Ensure all installations comply with project requirements, technical standards, and building regulations\\n\\n * Carry out and record site inspections, quality checks, testing and commissioning processes\\n\\n * Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to maintain efficient site operations\\n\\n * Lead MEP progress meetings and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders\\n\\n * Support and enforce site health and safety requirements across all building services activities\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * Strong mechanical building services background with proven site based management experience\\n\\n * Previous involvement in delivering MEP packages on large commercial projects\\n\\n * Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design information\\n\\n * Strong coordination, organisational, and problem-solving skills\\n\\n * Excellent communication and subcontractor management capabilities\\n\\n * Good understanding of commissioning, quality assurance, and compliance processes\\n\\n * SMSTS and First Aid qualifications are essential\\n\\n * Relevant mechanical or building services engineering qualifications are preferred
