Role Overview This is a key role for an experienced M&E Project Manager with strong design capability. You will be responsible for managing the full design and delivery lifecycle of mechanical and electrical building services projects – coordinating design development, leading project delivery teams, and ensuring systems are engineered for performance, sustainability and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Lead the end-to-end delivery of M&E projects, including design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning and client handover. * Oversee M&E design development to meet performance specifications, sustainability targets and net-zero objectives. * Manage project budgets, timelines, resources and subcontractors. * Coordinate with designers, architects, consultants and supply chain partners to ensure full integration of building services. * Monitor build quality, technical compliance, and installation standards. * Provide technical guidance, lead progress meetings and manage stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards. * Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in sustainable building services. Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience (minimum 5–10 years) in managing M&E projects with responsibility for design coordination and delivery. * Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, controls, lighting, renewable technologies and building performance standards. * Ability to interpret and manage complex M&E designs, specifications and drawings. * Proven track record in managing budgets, programmes and multidisciplinary teams. * Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. * Strong technical and commercial awareness. * Chartered status (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, ICE) or working toward this is advantageous. Desirable Experience * Exposure to low-energy, decarbonisation or net-zero building projects. * Experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, social housing or renewables. * Knowledge of BIM processes and M&E coordination in digital environments. * Experience managing both new build and retrofit building services projects.
