We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering major new-build commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company working on high-quality projects across the region. The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for projects and packages from procurement through construction and final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of new-build construction projects and subcontract packages
- Procurement, negotiation and appointment of subcontractors
- Preparation and management of subcontract documentation
- Measurement, valuations and assessment of subcontractor applications
- Preparation of monthly cost reports, CVRs and project forecasts
- Management of variations, change control and contractual notices
- Monitoring project costs, value and cash flow against agreed budgets
- Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider commercial team
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Client liaison and agreement of valuations and variations
- Management and negotiation of subcontractor final accounts
- Assisting with the preparation and agreement of the project final account
- Ensuring projects are commercially controlled in accordance with company procedures
