The predicted salary is between 51750 - 63250 Β£ per year.

We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering major new-build commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company working on high-quality projects across the region. The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for projects and packages from procurement through construction and final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of new-build construction projects and subcontract packages
  • Procurement, negotiation and appointment of subcontractors
  • Preparation and management of subcontract documentation
  • Measurement, valuations and assessment of subcontractor applications
  • Preparation of monthly cost reports, CVRs and project forecasts
  • Management of variations, change control and contractual notices
  • Monitoring project costs, value and cash flow against agreed budgets
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider commercial team
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Client liaison and agreement of valuations and variations
  • Management and negotiation of subcontractor final accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation and agreement of the project final account
  • Ensuring projects are commercially controlled in accordance with company procedures
