We are recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for an exciting logistics contract based in Slough, supporting high-profile transport operations within the production, staging, and events industry. This is a long-term opportunity for drivers who take pride in professional driving, punctuality, and responsibility. The work involves interesting, non-standard assignments ideal for those who want something beyond general haulage.
ROLE OVERVIEWClass 1 (C+E) Duties:
- Transporting trailers between sites and event locations
- Use of American-style trailer hooks (training provided if required)
- No manual handling - trailer-only work
- Precision driving, often on production schedules with tight turnarounds
- May involve overnight stays depending on the run
Class 2 (Cat C) Duties:
- Moving production sets and stage equipment to film, TV, or live event venues
- No loading/unloading - drivers strictly operate the vehicle
- Straightforward routes but require good spatial awareness and professionalism
- Consistent start times (Depending on your preference)
- Interesting and varied work, away from supermarket or pallet runs
- No handball or warehouse duties
- Opportunity to gain experience with specialist trailers and equipment
- Minimum 1 year of HGV experience
- Valid UK licence, CPC, and Digital Tacho card
- Confidence handling large vehicles in busy or non-standard locations
- Flexibility for occasional nights out (hotels/accommodation arranged when required)
- A professional attitude and ability to represent the business to clients in the entertainment and events industry
