We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join one of our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality fabricated parts. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machinery according to specifications and technical drawings
- Adjust machine settings to achieve desired angles and dimensions with accuracy
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Utilise hand tools, tooling, and measuring devices such as calipers and gauges effectively
- Assist in the assembly process when required, ensuring parts are correctly fitted and secured
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machinery or similar fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of sheet metal working processes including grinding, welding, and fabrication techniques
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues promptly
- Familiarity with hand tools, tooling, and basic measurement instruments
