We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager to join a well-established and respected business operating within the merchant/distribution sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, growing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across an established regional territory.

The Role:

  • Managing and developing an existing customer base
  • Generating new business opportunities across the region
  • Attending customer meetings and site visits
  • Preparing quotations and following up opportunities
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service
  • Managing your own diary and sales pipeline effectively

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous field sales / BDM / ASM experience
  • Background within merchanting, HVAC, plumbing, building materials, timber, electrical wholesale or similar sectors would be advantageous
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and commercially driven
  • Comfortable working autonomously

  • £35,000 - £55,000 DOE
