The Opportunity
365 People are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator on behalf of a well-established logistics and distribution business based at Magna Park, Lutterworth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy transport operation, supporting the day-to-day administration of transport activities, vehicle movements, driver communication, and customer service requirements.
Working within a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of transport operations while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the transport department.
- Process transport documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Update internal systems with vehicle, trailer, driver and delivery information.
- Liaise with drivers regarding routes, delays, paperwork and operational queries.
- Monitor and track deliveries, collections and vehicle movements.
- Handle incoming calls and emails from customers, drivers and internal departments.
- Support driver debriefs and ensure all required paperwork is completed and returned.
- Escalate transport issues, delays or discrepancies when required.
- Assist with compliance administration and record keeping.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain service levels.
About You
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous administration experience.
- Experience within transport, logistics, haulage, fleet or distribution environments would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and team-focused approach to work.
