Job Title: Deputy Warehouse Team Leader - Days Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire Salary: £29,000 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Days, 4 on 4 off, 06:00 to 18:00 The Role A fast-paced distribution operation in Lutterworth is looking for a Deputy Warehouse Team Leader to work across all sections of the warehouse. If you are a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or Shift Supervisor ready for a bigger challenge, this role supports the Section Leader with the day-to-day running of the operation and leads teams of operatives wherever the shift needs them most. It suits someone who finds that energising and can keep a calm head while things move. Anyone after a predictable routine where every day looks the same will not enjoy it, and this is not a role for a plodder. What the role involves * Supporting the Section Leader in managing the daily warehouse operation across all sections * Leading, motivating and developing teams of warehouse operatives, moving between areas as priorities change * Allocating work and monitoring productivity throughout the shift * Delivering departmental KPIs for productivity, quality and service * Running daily team briefings and communicating changing operational priorities clearly * Carrying out return to work interviews and supporting attendance management * Assisting with investigations and disciplinary processes where required * Maintaining high Health & Safety standards * Spotting opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity * Working closely with other departments to hit customer service targets * Deputising for the Section Leader during absence What’s needed * Experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Senior Warehouse Operative or similar leadership role * Experience leading teams in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment * Strong communication and people management skills * Experience working to productivity and performance KPIs * Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills * Comfortable adapting quickly when plans change Desirable * Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Continuous Improvement experience * MHE qualifications (advantageous, not essential) What’s on offer * Salary of £29,000 * Permanent, full-time position * 4 on 4 off pattern for a good work-life balance * Ongoing training and development * Genuine progression into Section Leader and Warehouse Management roles, with a track record of promoting from within * Company pension * Free on-site parking * Employee benefits package How to apply Please submit your CV for consideration.
