365 People are recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join one of our well-established clients in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who enjoys a varied role delivering steel products, fabrication materials, plant, and machinery while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with DVSA regulations and company policies.
- Deliver and collect steel products, fabrication materials, plant, and machinery to customer sites.
- Ensure all loads are secured safely using chains, straps, and approved load restraint systems.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Work closely with transport planners, site managers, and customers to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
- Assist within the yard or warehouse when required.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A full UK Class 2 driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience transporting steel, heavy materials, plant, or construction equipment.
- A good understanding of load security, drivers' hours regulations, and transport legislation.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A flexible, dependable attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Early starts will be required to meet customer delivery schedules, so flexibility is essential.
