We’re recruiting an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager to lead HSEQ across a large-scale, fast-moving processing operation in Leicester.

This is not a desk-based Health & Safety role.

We need someone practical and visible who is comfortable working alongside Operations, getting out onto the site, challenging unsafe practices and driving genuine improvements.

The role

  • Lead the site's HSEQ function and manage an HSEQ Officer
  • Accident and near-miss investigations
  • Risk assessments, RAMS and permits
  • Site inspections and operational safety
  • Manage
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems and audits
  • HSEQ training and compliance
  • Liaison with external auditors, regulators and enforcement agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement across the operation

What we're looking for

You'll already have HSEQ management experience within a busy operational environment such as manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, processing, logistics or waste/recycling.

You'll be confident around machinery and operational plant, comfortable challenging unsafe behaviours and capable of working collaboratively with operational managers.

Relevant H&S and Environmental qualifications are required, with waste-sector qualifications/experience highly advantageous.

Package

  • £59,000 per annum
  • 33 days' annual leave
  • Company pension
  • Employee rewards & discounts
  • Monday–Friday working
  • Career development within a large international organisation

If you're an experienced HSEQ professional who likes being out in the operation rather than behind a desk, we'd like to hear from you.
