Class 1 Shunter (Nights)
Temp to Perm £19.16 per hour (£45,864+ per year)
45 guaranteed hours per week
9-hour night shifts- 19:00-04:30am
Weekly pay once permanent
Duties include: Onsite trailer shunting using a tug unit (40ft & 44ft trailers)
Moving trailers to and from trailer parks and hubs
Coupling and de-coupling trailers
Completing vehicle and trailer safety checks
Pulling trailer curtains
Securing loads when required
Reporting any defects or damage
Scanning trailers and completing movement records
Adhering to all driving hours, CPC and site safety regulations
Requirements: Minimum 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) experience
No more than 6 penalty points
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Experience working in busy yard or site environments
Tug trained is desirable, but not essential
This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 driver looking for guaranteed hours and a permanent role after 12 weeks.
