Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
The Role
- Managing daily fleet operations and delivery schedules
- Leading and developing a team of drivers and transport personnel
- Ensuring full compliance with O-licence, Drivers' Hours, WTD, and DVSA regulations
- Controlling transport costs and identifying efficiency improvements
- Route planning and optimisation to maximise productivity
- Maintaining vehicle standards and managing maintenance schedules
- Implementing Health & Safety procedures across the operation
- Driver training, assessments, and performance management
- Managing customer relationships and service levels
- Reporting on KPIs and operational performance
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in a Transport Manager role
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
- National CPC qualification (desirable)
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with transport management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
