Our client is looking to recruit a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join their successful team in Cradley Heath. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 2 drivers who are looking to gain their HIAB licence and increase their earning potential. Candidates who do not currently hold a HIAB qualification are encouraged to apply, as full HIAB training and certification can be provided for the right individual.
As an HGV Driver, you will be the face of the business, providing a safe, efficient, and professional delivery service to customers and branch locations throughout the region.
The Role
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections to customer sites and company depots.
- Safely load, transport and unload building and construction materials.
- Complete all relevant delivery documentation accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every delivery point.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle care, safety and professionalism.
- Work closely with depot colleagues to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Following successful HIAB training, operate HIAB equipment in line with safety procedures and best practices.
About You
- A valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, professional and reliable attitude.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
- HIAB experience is desirable but not essential.
Applications are welcome from experienced Class 2 Drivers who do not currently hold a HIAB licence and are looking to gain this qualification through company-provided training. Experience within the builders' merchant, construction or building supplies sector would be advantageous but is not required.
