Our client is looking to recruit an Area Supervisor. You will be required to travel daily to any of the Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) or Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) across the county, to undertake HR related tasks such as supporting the onboarding process for new starters, undertaking one to ones, return to works, and low level policy discussions.
The Role:
- You will be required to deliver training through work books and/or support those completing through e-learning.
- Develop and deliver toolbox talks and other training packages/safety briefings.
- Monitor and enforce our clients safe systems of work and risk assessments for all site operations.
- Ensuring records for waste movements are accurate and appropriately filed.
- Monitoring and enforcing the Quality Management System for processes at the RHWSs.
- Issuing and monitoring/recording PPE and uniforms to staff.
- The role may require driving from time to time a 3.5 tonne box van, handling low level complaints from customers face to face, by telephone and by email.
Working Pattern: To be agreed with line manager based on 37 to 40 hours per week across 7 days. Weekend work is mandatory, a minimum of 1 in 3 but will consider more frequent if the successful candidate prefers. Overtime is likely to be available.
