Class 1 HGV Drivers Required in Alfreton & Chesterfield

Immediate Weekend Opportunities | Ongoing Work | Excellent Pay Rates

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers on behalf of a leading logistics provider operating from Alfreton, with an exciting move to a brand-new, larger Chesterfield depot planned for August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular weekend work now, with the potential for full-time, ongoing opportunities as the operation expands.

You will be delivering chilled and ambient goods to Morrisons RDCs as part of a well-established logistics operation.

  • Class 1 HGV trunking and store delivery work
  • Various shift patterns across a 7-day operation

Shift Lengths:

  • Monday to Thursday: Typically 8-9 hour shifts
  • Friday to Sunday: Typically 12 hour shifts

PAYE:

  • Monday to Friday - £16.50 (excluding holiday) / £17.93 (including holiday)
  • Saturday - £17.48 (excluding holiday) / £19.59 (including holiday)
  • Sunday - £18.98 (excluding holiday) / £21.17 (including holiday)

Our client can immediately offer consistent work throughout the year. The business is currently developing a new Chesterfield depot, which will be significantly larger than the current Alfreton operation. As customer demand grows and additional routes are introduced, there will be opportunities for drivers seeking regular full-time work.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
