Some businesses talk about growth; this one is quietly getting on with it. This established Leicester logistics business has built its reputation on doing what it says it will, on time and without fuss, and that reliability has seen it win more customers, take on bigger projects and grow its team. It's a friendly, close-knit environment where good ideas get listened to rather than lost in a chain of approvals. Now it's looking for a Logistics Project Coordinator to help drive the next stage of that growth.
This role isn't for the faint-hearted. It needs someone who takes full ownership of every project they touch and knows exactly where each one stands at any given moment. There's no "my work here is done" mentality here; the job is done when the customer is happy and not a minute before. If you're the person who follows things through, chases the loose ends nobody else noticed and gets a genuine buzz from seeing a complicated plan come together, this is a role where your work will be seen and valued.
The Role
- Manage multiple customer projects end to end, from initial brief through to completion
- Plan schedules, deadlines, resources and project requirements
- Coordinate transport, deliveries, installation teams and external suppliers
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, keeping them updated throughout
- Monitor live projects and resolve delays or problems quickly
- Ensure materials and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time
- Maintain accurate project documentation and internal systems
- Reprioritise effectively when plans change, while keeping projects on track
- Identify improvements to processes and service delivery
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in project coordination, logistics coordination, transport planning, operations, supply chain or distribution
- Candidates from retail projects, point of sale (POS), installations and fit-out, construction or account management backgrounds will also be considered
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills
- Sharp attention to detail and confidence making decisions under pressure
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and quick to learn new systems
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
What's On Offer
- Salary up to Β£40,000 depending on experience
- Permanent, full-time, office-based role
- Genuine ownership of customer projects from start to finish
- Varied, fast-paced work in a growing business
- A friendly, close-knit team
