Technical Developer – Menswear Tailoring

Role:
- To organise the production of approved prototypes for Menswear through liaison with Designers the Technical Design Manager and specific factories
- To provide and chase samples from manufacturers to company guidelines
- To assist with all technical aspects of the garments from the development and sampling stages through to production
- To translate design sketches into workable technical construction notes and diagrams (utilising CorelDRAW/ Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop) through communication with Designers, Factories and Pattern Cutters.
Requirements:
- Experience in similar role within fashion, with particular relevant experience in Tailoring
- Strong technical background, experience of CorelDRAW/ Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, able to improve upon specific technical problems liaising with both technical /production of improvements
- Experience of sample fitting sessions with the Designers and Technical ability to make accurate notes relating to garment construction and fit
- Strong communicational skills, previous success in liaising with factories and the pattern room and working with grade specifications
- Full Valid UK Drivers Licence
