My client is looking for a Trainee Field Service Engineer to join a growing aftersales team supporting customers across the UK. The Role – Trainee Field Service Engineer

You'll be part of the aftersales team, supporting customers with fault finding, repairs, and servicing. This is a varied role where no two weeks will look the same. When not attending callouts, you'll be working in the workshop building and assembling electrical equipment, giving you a solid technical foundation.

What you'll be doing

  • Field Service (Primary focus)
    • Respond to customer issues during normal working hours
    • Fault find and carry out repairs on electrical systems and switchgear
    • Complete servicing tasks such as maintenance, component changes, relay testing and checks
    • Carry out inspections and produce clear service reports
    • Represent the business professionally on customer sites
  • Workshop / Production (when not on site)
    • Panel wiring and electrical assembly
    • Working on switchgear, P&C panels and associated equipment
    • Assisting with testing and quality checks
    • Supporting day-to-day workshop activity

Travel

UK-wide role as a Trainee Field Service Engineer. Working away Monday to Friday. Jobs range from single-day visits to full weeks on site. Accommodation, travel and allowances covered.
