Our client is a Full-service law firm with six offices covering London, Surrey and Kent. They provide legal services and advice for people and businesses and have a fantastic reputation within their field. Their people are central to everything they do, and they have an inclusive culture and positive head office environment. Due to company growth, they are now looking for a Commercial Litigator. You could be based out of London or Sevenoaks offices, and this role will be hybrid with three days office, and two days working from home.
As Commercial Litigator you will manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes, delivering strategic legal advice and high-quality client service throughout all stages of litigation and dispute resolution.
- Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, shareholder issues, professional negligence claims, debt recovery, and property-related disputes.
- Draft, review and negotiate litigation documents including pleadings, witness statements, applications and settlement agreements.
- Conduct case analysis, legal research and risk assessment, providing clear and commercially-focused advice.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and ADR processes.
- Prepare cases for court hearings and collaborate effectively with counsel.
- Manage disclosure, evidence preparation and procedural deadlines.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory obligations and firm policies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support business development initiatives.
- Assist in developing junior team members.
- Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (minimum 4 years PQE).
- Experience managing a commercial caseload.
- Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational ability.
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic approach.
- Clear communication skills.
