Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to work within their Maintenance Department based at their Head Office Barnsley. You will join them on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary. As the UK market leading Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom fitted furniture manufacturer, they have had unsuppressed growth over the last 40 years, with an emphasis on providing a high standard of products and service. They are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen their position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in their success.
About the Maintenance Manager role: As a Maintenance Manager you will be working within a modern manufacturing facility maintaining production levels, and the efficient operation of additional onsite facilities, to ensure that the sites run to their full output potential within an agreed budget. You will have full responsibility for the management of a team of Engineers, Ancillary staff and Subcontractors based across both sites, operating over a 7 day, 4 shift rotational pattern.
The key responsibilities of their Maintenance Manager will include:
- Production plant and equipment maintenance.
- Property maintenance.
- Planned preventative maintenance.
- Day to day machine breakdown resolutions.
- Maintaining electrical plant maintenance records.
- Staff Recruitment.
- Annual budget preparation including analysis of past and present performance data.
- Apprentice development and labour skills planning.
- Weekly KPI reports.
To meet the requirements of their Maintenance Manager you will have:
- A minimum of two years management experience.
- A successful track record of working within a manufacturing / maintenance environment ideally within woodworking/FMCG/Packaging.
- Experience of working with suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities.
- Experience of working with continuous improvement plans.
- A flexible approach to working hours as shifts work may be necessary.
- Excellent time keeping and time management skills.
- A Full UK driving licence.
As their Maintenance Manager, you will be:
- An experienced multi-skilled engineer ideally with an electrical bias.
- Educated to HNC / Degree level ideally in engineering.
- Able to motivate and manage a team.
- Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels.
- Able to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Self-motivated and willing to work as part of the management team.
- Have excellent organisational, written and numerical skills.
- Be computer literate.
