My client is expanding fast and is looking to take on an experienced groundworker to work on short-duration civils projects across the UK.

KEY INFO – READ FIRST
  • Working away: up to 4 nights per week (UK wide)
  • Location: must be based in the North West, within reach of Preston
  • Salary: £35,000 basic, £5,000 guaranteed overnight premium (£40,000 total)
  • Role: permanent, Monday–Friday (45 hours)
Essential qualifications
  • NRSWA (Streetworks)
  • CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator (below 10 tonne)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a groundworker (Proof of qualifications required)
The role

As a groundworker, you'll carry out general civils and groundwork on car park installations, ensuring jobs are completed safely and on time. This includes:

  • Excavations and service trenching
  • Installing bollards, columns and signposts
  • Kerbs, paving, concrete, tarmac and reinstatement
  • Using CAT & Genny to locate underground services
  • Operating small highways maintenance plant
  • Working safely and to high quality standards
  • Communicating with clients on site

This is a hands-on role suited to a groundworker who takes pride in high standards and tidy finishes.

Working away

This role involves staying away up to four nights per week. When working away, my client provides:
