The Warehouse Shift Manager will be based out of their Swindon offices and DC. Leading a team, the Warehouse Shift Manager will identify ways to keep teams focused and on track. You will need to act independently and think on your feet, finding solutions and calling upon your previous experience to make sound management decisions. You will be given full autonomy in the role to build and develop your team, searching for and implementing efficiency and developing better ways of working to further improve the overall customer experience.
The Warehouse Shift Manager will be able to co-ordinate a fleet of 15+ vehicles and ensure and maintain compliance in all aspects of EU law. You must have good communication skills, basic Health and Safety knowledge, and be able to manage a team. The role is a 40-hour week, 5 days out of 7, Monday to Friday, 9am till 5.30pm. Some flexibility will be required as there is a morning and afternoon shift to manage.
Responsibilities:- Advising staff on safe and proper operating procedures and relevant checks.
- Maintain accurate staff and vehicle records.
- Assess and support the Warehouse.
- Ensure that all fleet and driver records are compliant with all aspects of DVSA.
- People management, covering performance reviews, staff development, disciplinary and grievance handling.
- Logistics operations and management.
- CPC qualified with proven experience within a similar Depot, DC, or Logistics role.
- Retail experience would be advantageous, although isn’t essential.
- Able to demonstrate ability to cope in challenging situations.
- Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail.
