Our client is a scaling company who are obsessed with offering exceptional service. They are now looking for an ER Case Manager to join their team based out of their Chester head office. The role will be five days per week during the induction phase, however hybrid once out of that with a likely split of two days office, three days working from home.
ER Case Manager β Responsibilities
- Managing any long-term absence and Right to Work checking processes.
- Providing a professional, proactive, expert ER advisory service to managers.
- Offering advice and guidance to managers on complex people matters ensuring best outcome for both company and person.
- ER management covering serious conduct matters, capability, employee concerns including management of suspensions and investigations.
- To always provide active support to managers in the day-to-day case management of serious / complex employment issues whilst considering the commercial constraints of the business and the legal framework.
- Supporting HR and liaising and developing effective working relationships with wider stakeholders.
- Manage a portfolio of cases, scheduling and prioritising activities based on the needs of each case and applicable deadlines or timescales.
- Provide support to Managers or act as ER lead on complex people matters, including hearings and appeals.
- Offering solutions to managers, while recognising legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coaching managers in all aspects of people management.
- Ensure all case management details are recorded accurately on company systems.
- Reviewing and preparing letters and documents in readiness for and after formal hearings.
- Work collaboratively with field-based Case Management team to ensure consistency of approach.
ER Case Manager β Required Skills
- Proven track record of managing a range of complex ER cases.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of UK employment law and legislation and its implications for employers.
- Strong communicator with a style that is clear, engaging, coaching and collaborative.
- Demonstrate strong partnership working with a variety of stakeholders.
- CIPD qualification at any level would be welcomed.
- Experience of applying a commercial and pragmatic approach to providing HR risk based solutions.
- Flexible approach to meet deadlines and respond positively and constructively to feedback.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
