My client is expanding fast and is looking to take on an experienced groundworker to work on short-duration civils projects across the UK. KEY INFO – READ FIRST
- Working away: up to 4 nights per week (UK wide)
- Location: must be based in the North West, within reach of Preston
- Salary: £35,000 basic, £5,000 guaranteed overnight premium (£40,000 total)
- Role: permanent, Monday–Friday (45 hours)
Essential qualifications
- NRSWA (Streetworks)
- CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator (below 10 tonne)
- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a groundworker (Proof of qualifications required)
The role
As a groundworker, you'll carry out general civils and groundwork on car park installations, ensuring jobs are completed safely and on time. This includes:
- Excavations and service trenching
- Installing bollards, columns and signposts
- Kerbs, paving, concrete, tarmac and reinstatement
- Using CAT & Genny to locate underground services
- Operating small highways maintenance plant
- Working safely and to high quality standards
- Communicating with clients on site
This is a hands-on role suited to a groundworker who takes pride in high standards and tidy finishes.
Working away
This role involves staying away up to four nights per week. When working away, my client provides:
