Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise. As part of our company philosophy, we believe in investing time and resources into our colleagues. We encourage internal promotions and development, so should a permanent contracted vacancy become available, you will be contacted first! You will be working an average of 42 hours per week days, nights and weekends from 07:00 - 19:00.

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.

What are you going to do:

  • Liaise daily with staff and the client and operational management teams.
  • Ensure safety of customers and all staff by providing reassurance and assistance whilst presenting a high level of vigilance.
  • Remain polite, courteous and attentive at all times.
  • Contribute as a team member to ensure a positive customer experience for all visitors/customers.
  • To ensure the Retail facility, its contents and employees, including visitors and contractors are within a safe environment and protected from all forms of loss, damage waste and compromise.
  • To deter, detect and eliminate crime and terrorism.
  • To discourage unruly or antisocial behaviour.
  • Have a full understanding and enforce Health and Safety protocols.
  • Respond to fire alarm activations, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Provide friendly customer service to tenants and the public.
  • To provide First Aid support or assist first aiders when appropriate.
  • Carry out plant room, equipment, tenant storage checks and facilities check when required.
  • Complete incident forms, notebook entries or Accident Report Forms as required.
  • To partake and pass a mandatory annual physical assessment - details to be discussed during interview stage.
