Our client is a family-owned manufacturer with a base in the UK & Ireland. They are renowned for pioneering, innovating, and a people centric approach to everything they do. They are currently looking at a short-term re-org to facilitate their long-term growth aspirations, and this role will be a key hire for that process. Our client is looking for an HR Advisor on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) of six months to help support the business with the re-org process. This will be a hands-on role designed to support restructuring, some possible redundancies, and consultation processes.

As HR Advisor you will ensure fair, transparent, and legally compliant processes and will bring significant experience gained within roles where the company has gone through a re-org. The HR Advisor will play a key role in the smooth re-org transformation, aiming to ensure that any redundancy process is handled professionally to mitigate risk while treating employees fairly. You’ll also handle all the associated administrative processes as part of your role.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading or supporting end-to-end re-org processes, including collective and individual consultations.
  • Acting as a trusted partner to line managers, guiding them through difficult conversations, performance management, and restructure consultations.
  • Ensuring any redundancy actions, selection criteria, and employee relations cases comply with UK employment legislation.
  • Engaging with senior leaders, employee representatives, and potentially trade unions.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records, producing consultation documentation, and managing risk.
  • Supporting other HR functions such as redeployment planning, contract management, and talent acquisition if needed.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong background in employee relations (ER), with specific experience in restructuring.
  • Able to add value with experience and take a lead role with minimal supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching skills, with the ability to work at pace.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience is desirable.

This role offers the opportunity for a skilled HR Advisor to add immediate value with their skillset. It also offers the chance to work for a business with an enviable reputation within their field. The role is largely site-based with four days based out of their Derbyshire facility, with one day working from home possible.
