They are looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to assist in the management of a construction project building a new school in the Selby, Yorks area. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover. The Company has the aim to continue with their growth over the coming financial year.s They have developed an excellent reputation for themselves in market sectors including: Education, Office, Hotel, Care Home, Commercial, Retail and Apartments. The Senior Site Manager Role This role could is suitable for a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager looking to work in a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated role to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards expected by the client and company. The position will be the managing of a site in the Selby area working with a site based Project Manager that will run for a approximately 60 weeks. The project is the new build of a school with additional works such as ground works, drainage, externals, new roof and the interior fit out. It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of running the project on a day to day basis reporting to the site based Project Manager with the assistance of a visiting Contracts Manager. As the Senior Site Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the project with demolition, construction, refurbishment and fit out elements across the scheme from inception to completion. Responsibilities include: Managing the project on site Managing the build program Some inductions if required Managing Health and Safety Working closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects finish on time. Liaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is always maintained. Reporting to the site based Project Manager The ideal candidate will have previously managed construction and / or fast track refurbishment sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors, experience of education, care homes, hotel, office, student accommodation, commercial, and PRS apartment schemes is beneficial. As the Senior Site Manager, you will be required to be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role, whilst being able to drive subcontractors. It is essential that you hold an ENHANCED DBS, SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certificates. The project will commence on the 14th April 2025. Remuneration: Dependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £320 per day DOE.
