My client, a highly regarded law firm based in Emsworth, are recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing or Private Client team. Within the role you will provide support to the Property or Private Client team by providing competent and efficient conveyancing support for the daily running of a busy department.

Duties to include:
- Preparing and sending out quotes.
- Following up on quotes to convert/obtain feedback.
- Opening new files.
- Preparing and sending out contract packs on sales (under supervision).
- Preparing completion statements (following training).
- Completing SDLT returns through case management software (following training).
- Dealing with registration at HMLR (following training).
- Reviewing completed registration title documents.
- Reporting to clients and lenders following completion of registration.
- Update clients, estate agents and other solicitors on the progress of transactions.
- Tie up incoming post with client files, liaise with fee earner as to required tasks, deal with queries, agree action etc.
- Any other duties which may from time to time be reasonably requested.
To be considered for the role candidates will need to have property/conveyancing experience and to have worked as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal within Conveyancing or Private Client. Knowledge of case management systems would also be advantageous.
