To lead and manage all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) activities across the manufacturing site, ensuring legal compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, reducing risks, and supporting continuous improvement in environmental performance. Develop, implement and maintain SHE policies, procedures and management systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation. Lead site risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations. Drive behavioural safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture. Deliver SHE training and coaching to managers and employees. Monitor SHE KPIs and report performance to site leadership. Manage environmental compliance, including waste, energy, emissions and sustainability initiatives. Liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors and customers as required. Support capital projects and operational changes by ensuring SHE risks are identified and controlled. Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning. Key Requirements NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Membership of IOSH (Chartered status desirable). Proven SHE management experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar regulated environment. Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation. Experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
