Process end-to-end payroll on a weekly and/or monthly basis for both factory and office-based employees. Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension, and statutory regulations (PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.). Accurately calculate shift premiums, overtime, bonuses, and other variable payments specific to manufacturing operations. Maintain employee payroll records in line with GDPR and audit requirements. Support Time & Attendance (T&A) systems and resolve anomalies relating to clocking data and shift patterns. Support year-end activities such as P60, P11D, and gender pay gap reporting. Respond to employee queries on payslips, deductions, or pay-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience with Time & Attendance and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Kronos, ADP, or Sage).
