360 Recruitment is currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for a Transport Manager, to be based out of their West Midlands office.
Our client has a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the civils & demolition sectors.
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £40k - £45k (dependant on level of experience)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enforce company processes and procedures to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Operator License.
- Maintain Operator license data to the satisfaction of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA.
- Administrate, advise, and inform the wider business on all legislative updates relating to Operator License compliance, record keeping requirements, vehicles checks, maintenance, and condition reporting.
- Ensure that fleet processes comply fully with legislative requirements of continuous motor insurance.
- Provide support and advice to all employees within the business.
- Ensure all vehicles are serviced as per manufacturers’ recommended service intervals and LOLER tests are kept up to date.
- Ensure that vehicles and equipment are maintained in a fit and proper manner, in accordance with vehicle & equipment operating manuals.
- Keep the Directors and Senior Managers of the business fully informed of any issues arising that require action.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation.
Qualifications / Experience:
- 3+ year experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Technical background in light & heavy vehicles.
