360 Recruitment is currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor in Oxfordshire.
This opportunity is a site-based role, working on civil engineering packages.

About the role
- Lead commercial management of assigned packages, ensuring costs are tracked from award through to final account.
- Prepare, review and agree cost valuations, interim payments and final accounts with main contractors and subcontractors.
- Manage variations and change control - assess, price, document and negotiate any changes to the original scope of works.
- Maintain accurate variation/change registers, cost forecasts and commercial records.
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the scope of works, identifying omissions or scope gaps early and initiating formal change processes.
- Review subcontractor applications for payment, ensuring they reflect actual progress and agreed scope/variations.
- Support subcontractor procurement, scope clarification and negotiation of contract terms.
- Provide commercial input to project teams, attend meetings and communicate cost/variation status to stakeholders.
About you
- Proven experience in similar role with a subcontractor on civil engineering packages.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Ability to prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
- Willing and able to get SC clearance.
