360 Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on behalf of a groundworks and civil engineering contractor. This is a long-term freelance opportunity, ideal for an engineer with a strong background in residential groundworks who is comfortable working independently on site.
Job role: Site Engineer
Location: Stevenage
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing long-term work (potential to go permanent)
Rate: £300 - £350/day (dependant on level of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, kerbing and associated groundworks.
- Maintaining and managing QA documentation and as-built records.
- Take-offs.
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with latest drawings and specifications.
- Keeping fully up to date with drawing revisions and coordinating with site teams.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential groundworks projects
- Experienced user of AutoCAD
- Sound understanding of groundworks, drainage and civil engineering packages
- Ability to manage QA and technical paperwork confidently
- CSCS card.
