360 Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on behalf of a groundworks and civil engineering contractor. This is a long-term freelance opportunity, ideal for an engineer with a strong background in residential groundworks who is comfortable working independently on site.

Job role: Site Engineer

Location: Stevenage

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing long-term work (potential to go permanent)

Rate: £300 - £350/day (dependant on level of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, kerbing and associated groundworks.
  • Maintaining and managing QA documentation and as-built records.
  • Take-offs.
  • Ensuring works are carried out in line with latest drawings and specifications.
  • Keeping fully up to date with drawing revisions and coordinating with site teams.
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential groundworks projects
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD
  • Sound understanding of groundworks, drainage and civil engineering packages
  • Ability to manage QA and technical paperwork confidently
  • CSCS card.
