Our client is a highly respected principal contractor specialising in demolition, earthworks and remediation , with an impressive portfolio of projects spanning the industrial, commercial, petrochemical and nuclear sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a range of demolition projects across the South of England.

The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple demolition projects, ranging from industrial demolition schemes through to large-scale soft strip projects .
Managing several sites concurrently, you will work closely with clients, operational teams and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely on programme and within budget.
Project Managers will report directly into you, making this a key leadership position within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple demolition projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Lead project planning and programme management activities.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Drive commercial awareness across project teams and identify opportunities for improved profitability.
- Support tender and pre-construction activities where required.
- Lead, mentor and manage Project Managers and site-based teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client expectations and industry regulations.
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced Contracts Managers who have a proven track record delivering demolition projects and managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
You will be commercially astute, client-focused and capable of leading teams across a diverse project portfolio.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the demolition sector.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing project programmes and reporting progress.
- Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
- Experience overseeing project budgets and performance.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing Project Managers and operational teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Based within, or willing to travel across, the South of England.
Desirable
- IDE (Institute of Demolition Engineers) membership.
